I love Texas, I read an article on line saying its the most hated state by Americans in a poll some magazine conducted, it happens to be on my favorite states. I would consider moving to Texas if I could get a job in Texas, I love that state especially Dallas and Austin.

Question to the OP: What is the attraction to Dallas? Cost of living? Warmer weather?

As someone else said, if there's nothing in particular to Dallas as a draw, somewhere like Atlanta or South Florida -- both of which have larger Jewish communities -- might fit what they're looking for. Though, as with Dallas, rentals in the walkable, urban-ish neighborhoods (like South Beach) are going to be out of the noted price range.
