I'd really appreciate suggestions on where to go, what to do, places to eat etc. we are thinking of doing the steam engine and also the Lego land place but other than that we are open to anything else. One thing we love to do is order in pizza when we stay at hotels. Any good pizza places around?

Great Wolf Lodge is TONS of fun
Sea Life Aquarium
Main Event - it's like Dave and Busters, but better IMO

Yes to Lego land and Yes to the train

Grimaldi's and I Fratelli are good, unique pizza places. There's also Mellow Mushroom in Southlake.

Sea Life Aquarium is fun, too.

Christie have you been to Mellow Mushroom? I saw it in Frisco a few weeks ago and wondered how it was, interesting name.

OP I've been to both Grimaldi's and I Fratelli - both are tasty

Mellow mushroom very good, its a pizza with a wide crusty edge. Love it. iFratelli's is also great but visitors have referred to it as "cracker pizza" its square, the pieces are square and its a very thin, crisp crust.

Ooh I think I'd love Mellow Mushroom! I have to be honest, the name deterred me lol. Definitely going to try it out when I get back to town

Grimaldi's is way better than Mellow Mushroom, but Mellow Mushroom has a great beer list, which is obviously important to kids.

Mellow Mushroom is unique pizza. I love the one with all of the different mushrooms! The restaurant is neat inside; your kids would enjoy it!
Grimaldis uses a coal oven, as does Coal Vines in Southlake. That one is more like a wine bar with pizzas.

My wife and I are from the Midwest (OH & IN) so we know a thing or two about good pizza. As far as quality of ingredients and being extremely tasty, Fratelli wins hands down. There's a few other local places with good pizza (Moni's & Nizza), yet you'll be hard pressed to beat the quality of Fratelli!

Have fun!

If it's IFratelli, we had that last night. Pretty good. I like more crust than that and an order of bread sticks was three little sticks but it was good none the less. We also had Steak 'n Shake which we don't have in SA. Love that place. Tomorrow is legoland and hopefully a nice dinner somewhere. Monday is the steam train and tues is the Perot. Thanks for the recommendations.
