I was born and raised here and have lived here for about 3/4 of my life. This stretch of weather is hardly noteworthy.

I don't know how old you are but I guess we just have to disagree. While frequent precipitation at this time of the year is not unusual, it typically rains intensely followed by sun. That we have Seattle style grey skies with drizzle for extended periods is a new experience for me in Dallas.

Please yourself.

We both know that this area desperately needs the rain, so I'm not complaining. Plus, most of the time I spent away from Dallas was in Europe in climates much colder, wetter, and more depressing than this. Try living in Poland or Germany sometime. They make Dallas look like Miami.

Just picked a bad time to look at the weather, lol. We're trying to kill off a 5 year drought here, this winter has been highly abnormal. I've lived in Texas all my life and rarely seen this happen, we set a record in February for having precipitation for 14 days straight. Even after all of that and lakes rising 2-3 feet we're still in stage three drought restrictions.

So you have nothing to worry about. Like someone earlier said, in August you'll be praying for a tropical depression or any kind of precipitation or clouds....

I've lived both both places OP asked about. Dallas is not cloudy compared to Pittsburgh. Even this recent spell in DFW of needed cloudiness does NOT come close to changing the fact that I stated.
