2013 Nation Rankings: http://www.newsweek.com/2013/05/06/a...h-schools.html

vs. 2014: Search Texas High Schools | US News

Something happened with their reporting that killed their "ranking". But as a whole....it's not really effecting them.

It wasn't just Plano. TEA recently started including all non-mainstream student test scores into the schools' composite scores. So in a district like Plano that has a large percent of ESL students (including recent immigrants from countries like Iraq and the Sudan who don't know a word of English upon arrival), is known for being good for autistic and other learning disabilities, and who houses the deaf school for the county....they're screwed under the new inclusive scoring system.

Plano is the hub of the snobs. Are you blind to that fact? Ask anyone in Houston, Austin and San Antonio and they will tell you exactly what I said.

Plano population is soaring it has to one of the biggest suburbs in the country now, they probably don't have the resources to keep up with the changing demographics.

It may be growing, but it's not even the biggest suburb in DFW area. Arlington (379k) is bigger by almost 100k.

Posters on this forum live in DFW, we don't need to travel to four corners of the state to ask about our neighbors. 💡

Plano is built out and growth is quite steady unlike newer districts where they have to build a new school every semester.
