Hello Dear Helpers,
I am planning to buy a home in Brand new Sub division which is in south Garland , Bobtown Road.
It is between Lake Hubbar and Duck Creek area. Also very close to Hwy 67 which is also know as 30.

I am concerned about snakes as I heard Lake Hubbard and Duck Creek will bring more snakes.
Anybody familiar with the area. Do they come in yards, streets etc ?

Any information will help greatly.
Thank You,
knp77

I'm in Richardson and I'll see about 2 to 3, very small (2-3") grass snakes a year in my yard when doing yard work.
They're harmless and are probably doing you a service by eating rodents.

Unless you have frontage on either Lake Ray Hubbard or Duck Creek, I wouldn't worry much about snakes. Otherwise on the rare occasion that you see one, it will probably be non-poisonous.

I don't think this would be anything to worry about. If you do find yourself with a snake problem, here is a resource for a simple way to keep them out of your yard:
