Could some one tell me their feelings on the post-party of the St Patrick's Day Parade on upper Greenville? I have had problems in the past and would like to know if I'm the only one.

Is there a website or HOA for upper Greenville?

Thanks!

What problems did you have? I live near there but haven't been able to make it out. I plan on going this year though.

The official number was 70,000 for last year but it seemed larger to me, having gone to the gigantic Cowboy Super Bowl parade downtown back in what, '93?

People were even parked east of Skillman - astounding. I would walk if I were you - you can also get taxis at the south entrance near Llano.

Also, see:

The only problem I had was about 10 years ago when I took my son (who was 4) to the parade with a friend. The parade started out with a couple of burly men in drag holding up a giant inflated "male-member" in a convertible...had to expalin that one. But didn't have to explain the scantily clad strippers throwing beads into the crowd...go figure...

It's not quite Mardi Gras but the best we can do - I saw one woman from Plano freaked out on the news last year. You shouldn't take little kids if you don't want them to see anything bawdy. Also turn off your television.

I was amazed when we first moved here how seriously a lot of people take celebrating St. Pat's Day! We were at a club in North Dallas (hey, we were
young & fun once, too!)... and we met up with several "RV groups" that had been travelling all around the metroplex all day and evening together celebrating! Good thing they had drivers!
