Looking for a solid mechanic near me... I typically take it to Hyundai dealer, but there isn't really a close one to the house.

I have been using Meineke and getting ripped off just for the convenience factor, but it's time to find someone who I can trust.

What kind of work do you need done?

Oil changes, alignment, brake work every so often, etc. Just the maintenance really.

I would prefer a mechanic who lets me bring my own oil and filter, but not necessary.

Meineke is open on Sunday as well, which is extremely nice. Quick and timely is a major factor.

Dallas European Auto in Plano charges ~$21 for labor on an oil change if you bring your own oil/filter. They aren't open on wknds (only M-F 8-6pm), but they are honest and do good work. IMO an oil change is easy enough to DIY, and would probably take less time vs driving to/from + waiting @ the shop while it's being performed.

In Little Elm, I've used Affordable Automotive a few times with good results. On 423 a couple blocks north of Eldorado.

I use to change my own oil, however, with my new car, I want to make sure I have the paperwork for everything so I tend to go to shops. I just don't have the time anymore to change the oil.

Autobahn on Regal Road - not expensive as the name implies, but quality work, indeed.
