Absolutely, the world would be a boring, stale place if we did . Ash is my first choice, elm is one of many fall backs.

Did any of you try to grow trees that are not widely found in Texas.

I am talking about trees like aspen,etc that grow in many other states but not so rare like giant sequoias.

Will they just die if planted in Texas?

Never mind - found answer.
Each tree seems to need unique conditions.
Also some trees after few years leaving yard looking bad.
