We just got Sling tv's 7 day trial through Roku this weekend ,we were really impressed with the service and luckily most of our favorite channels are included in their package, also bought a $30 ota antenna and pick up all major channels (about 20 total channels)

We have Internet through TWC and Dish network to the tune of $100 so we'll be saving $80 dollars a month by canceling dish.

How does the ota antenna look compared to HD with cable or satellite? I just looked at sling, but the fact you can only stream to one tv at a time is a killer for us.

You can add upto 3 devices on sling (pay extra for 2nd and 3rd device). I am already using sling for international channels package and able to stream on 3 devices simultaneously.

That's good to hear. I didn't see that online and that was the biggest down fall in most of the reviews I read.

It looks the same and slightly better on some channels, from what I understand companies compress the signal and ota is a cleaner reception.Yeah I see a lot of people complain about Slings 1 stream at a time for us it works,I mainly watch sports the wife HGTV ,Scandal TWD etc.. Our son watches no cable whatsoever so Netflix works for him just fine.

Can anyone confirm if Dish TV has Universal Sports? And does the highest package include all the HBO, Cinemax etc by default? Coz last time i had to pay over the top for the movie channels.

We just "cut the cord" with Direct TV. We were paying $145/mn, plus $8/mn for Netflix.

Now we pay $31/mn which includes $8/mn for Netflix, $8/mn for Hulu Plus and $15/mn for HBO Now. We had to also pay a one time fee of $35 for the Chromecast.

We love it!!! We will never go back to cable! We now spend $372 a year vs. $1,836 a year!
