Bad news for those of us staying put and paying taxes on values that just keep rising! I have the homestead exemption but my taxes went up about $1000 from last year to this year.

+1 truth...taxes are getting ridiculous, even on my investment properties

Exactly! Its very bad news for anyone who isn't selling. Property taxes just keep going up and up. Imagine if we had to pay income taxes too.

It is awful news for someone like who is looking to buy.
At these prices I am priced out so I am renting.

I am looking at a new community in Colleyville that sold only 2 houses in 3 months but the prices are still so high.
I just do not understand how builders can sit on the inventory if no one is buying.
