My neighbor across the street had constructed a brand new pool with outdoor kitchen before this summer started. Since then he had pool parties every single weekend. We both living in a corner lot and it's N/S facing orientation. Their noise usually travel all the way to our house. Needless to say i cannot sit and relax in my patio due to their noise level. I have dogs and they like running outside and play. Now i cannot bring them out because my dogs will bark when they hear the kids scream their lungs out with adult talking loudly. I mean really really loud that i can clearly hear their conversation. Plus all the other dogs will "talk" to each other as i have 2 neighbors had their dogs in their yard all day long.

I don't mean to offense anyone here because i know quite a number of posters here had a pool in their house. I just want to know how can you cope/deal with those noise? It will only get worst when time goes as i saw quite a lot of pool sign putting up in their front yard.

Go make friends with your neighbor and stop bitching about not being invited.

unless they are making tons of noise past 10pm good luck. you better research your towns noise laws and see what you can do. Otherwise good luck. being passive aggressive myself I might start mowing my lawn, weed whacker, leaf blowing when they having parties. unless you don't like them personally you might have to just try to join the party instead of crashing it.

It's summer time. Kids are out of school for just another 2-3 weeks. Let them have fun, and stop being the neighbor that no one likes.

Unless he is bothering you after 8pm, I would be more tolerant. Or bring him some beer and say hi, hoping to be invited for the next pool party!

i don't think 8pm is the cut off time, usually it's 10pm. and yea, their party usually end around those late hours.

Do you have an HOA? I believe HOAs can have noise ordinances

Otherwise, just talk to them

I'm just disappointed that these parties are not majority attractive females in their 20s and that I'm not invited!
