You are right but still they deserve a round of applause compared to other schools with similar or higher financial advantages within Collin County and outside.

Hmm, that was weird. Pottsboro is on there but Lovejoy isn't? Go figure. (also note that that's not Lovejoy's fault, they were left off the list by whoever does that blog. It's a great blog with scads of useful info, but run by a person who likely has lots of other responsibilities and can't get everything perfect all the time. I'm grateful for all the stuff they put out.

Anyway, here's the Lovejoy stats: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/cgi/sa...mpus=043919001

Their SAT score was 1678, which would put them between Flower Mound and Liberty. So, very good overall, just below the top tier of public schools and an improvement over last year's 1650.

That said, with an economically disadvantaged percentage of 2.2%, they should put up excellent scores.

HP, SL, WL, Coppell, Plano West and Plano Senior are consistent and affluent top performers so great job but no surprises there.

Magnet schools have unfair advantage of limiting enrollment to top students from DISD and other districts so awesome but not surprising.

Handpicked? Unfair? Affluent? You use those words as pejoratives or so it seems. With respect your post sounds like a passel of sour grapes to me.

I forgot to give a shout out to JJ Pearce, they are another consistent outlier from this area.

I agree with that. Year after year Pearce impresses.

I remember growing up in the Houston area as a high school student back in the 80's, all of us nerds knew of JJ Pearce. Even as I drive by it nowadays, I still kind of take a look at it even though I never went there, never been inside, and never even went to school in the DFW area. lol.

I have been googling trying to find scores for Eagle Mountain/Saginaw ISD high schools (Boswell and Saginaw high in particular). Would also love to see where Aledo ended up.

Congrats to Keller High for #14 spot! I'm a firm believer that a rising tide lifts all boats.

FWISD is struggling, even the much- lauded Paschal. They are going to have to get it together!
