So I have posted here before and gotten great responses. Thank you! The experts here are probably so sick of answering the relocation questions.

We are set up to come down the end of this week and into next week to house hunt. Our house in Chicago is under contract and we are ready to find our TX house.

We are working with our realtor and have narrowed down areas that are of interest to us. We are looking for a 4 bed/3+ bath house with a pool and 3 car garage with top budget at $550. The areas we like are Trophy Club, Flower Mound (top choice), Southlake, Highland Village. My husband with be commuting to the Irving area of 161 and 114 for his job.

Before we come down there, we just want to make sure we are looking at all the areas that we can that would allow a comfortable commute (top 45 minutes, but prefer more like 30) for my husband and good schools for my 16, 14 and 12 year olds.

Any last minute insight would, as always, be so appreciated.

Thanks everyone. This site is so wonderful and all of you are kind in offering your time to give feedback!

Be prepared for it to take several trips or even temporary living to find a house then go under contract.

It's difficult to come in for 3-4 days and get something under contract. It can be done but don't be disappointed if you don't.

This has happened to my son moving here from Boston with your same criteria. He is now in temporary living while we house hunt.

Add Coppell to your list and take Highland Village off (commute is doable, but really too long given the great options you have much closer to your husband's job.
