Babe's is disgusting. Way too greasy/ buttery. Bubba's is the real deal (same owners but only one location and better menu/ quality).

I haven't been there in forever, but love Bubba's. The fries with lemmon salt are so good. I've been to the Babes in Granbury and Arlington and liked it, but guess it depends on which location.

I need to try Bubba's. I've tried a few Babe's and Sweetie Pie's Ribeyes. The sides are usually ok, but nothing to write home about, but then I usually expect that at most chains. Single-location mom & pop places usually are better when it comes to sides for "southern cooking" from what I've tasted.

It's the veggies and rolls that I just really hate at Babe's. The chicken may be the exact same but every time I go (and it's more often than I would prefer due to some people at the office who REALLY like Babe's), I wonder why the fried chicken is so greasy/soggy and why they insist on so much dang butter in the green beans. And the rolls just make me angry- they are my absolutely favorite thing at Bubba's since I was a little girl and the ones at Babe's taste like chalk.
