I know that there have been many posts on this in the past, but I was wondering if any residents could weigh in on this. We are planning on relocating to FM - great schools, good commute for us etc. but I am a little nervous about the fracking situation. I have done quite a bit of research online and it is impossible to get an unbiased opinion - environmentalists are pretty sure it is killing everyone and officials and gas companies proclaim 'it's all good'. I imagine that the truth lies somewhere in the middle!
Could anyone weigh in on how active fracking is in FM these days and what neighborhoods are closest to those sites - from my research I see that Wellington is one but I hate to cut out a whole area of town from our search! I know that there were some studies about cancer clusters in the area just a few years ago and I was wondering if these issues are still concerning residents?

I live in Wellington. I couldn't even begin to tell you where fracking is. It's a non-issue.

Parents moved out of there 2 years ago. No one ever mentioned it.

I could be wrong, but I don't even think there are new sites in Flower Mound (or Coppell) anymore.
