Hi All - long time lurker.
Looking to build with Meritage in Colony - Stonehaven at The Tribute - The Manors.
They are giving a decent credit for deco allowance and closing costs.
My questions are the following:
How is Prestwick Academy STEM school? They keep pushing the Prestwick flag but LEISD is still very far away from being competitive with Frisco ISD.
Their houses are now in the $430K- $450K and I certainly feel these are on the high end compared the nearby recent sales?
How is Meritage as a builder as of late? I read a lot of negative reviews from 2008 - 2014... any recent experiences from those who built recently?

Me personally, I would not buy a Meritage home if I had other options.

I have a friend who used to work for Meritage... when he was looking to buy a new home, he went with a different builder, if that says anything.

Location, schools, commute, builder, neither is outstanding. Why are you going there with $450k range budget? Just new construction?
