That's a terrible commute these days. Doable, but terrible.

On the other hand there is not really much around Love Field for housing that is not very expensive or in the hood.

OP hundreds / thousands of people make this commute daily.

I took that route for about 11 months and it was terrible

423 - 121--> Horrible due to construction
35E is a bottle neck in phases. It slows down near SRTollway, PGBT and 635. Backups can go upto 3 miles.

Taking old denton is a good but slower option.

I used to take DNT from Eldorado to Mockingbird every Mon morning at about 5:50 a.m. NO traffic.

as long as you don't mind taking the tollway at roughly $7/day, it will be fine most days. It takes my coworker about 45 mins. from frisco to the end of the tollway downtown.

Correct. I make this trip 3 days a week. Averages about 45 min. In the heart of rush hour, say 5pm, it can be nearly an hour.

While they are expanding the DNT to 4 lanes, we have to wait and see what the true impact to traffic is due to the Legacy West development and others along the tollway.

At 5:50am, it's still going to be an easy commute (25 minutes or so). However, if one has a more typical 8-5 schedule, count on spending almost an hour in the morning and over an hour in the afternoon.

Yeah I made it from Melissa to Field/Woodall in 40 minutes leaving at 6am. I'd say anything after 630ish and you'd be looking at a beating.
