I am in the process of listing my home for sale in West Frisco. I will have the pictures done this weekend getting ready to list next week.

However, I want to know if it is a good idea to list it before the memorial day weekend or list it after? I am wondering if there will be buyers during that weekend.

My realtor seems to think its not going to make a big difference either way and there will be a bunch of buyers when schools close.

that's correct. It will really not make a big difference.

good question... I also was thinking of strategies while listing a home. Like listing on Thurs bc you almost get two weekends that your house will only show to be on the market for less than 10 (single digit) days.

I know there will be a lot of buyers in hot markets. I'm wondering if there will be a lot of sellers. I'm selling in one of the hottest markets and going to a market that's less desirable.

Ours went live last Friday. One of only 2 in the neighborhood that both of us went on the market in the same week. Not much around for sale in the area and everything comparable to ours has sold rather quick.

You can list before but Memorial day weekend you'll get few showings. Too many family activities and end of school.

Most of us agents have down time this weekend. The 4th and Labor day are the same.
