Top Golf is great. Make reservations.

Otherwise, I can tell you that a lot of middle schoolers will not be into crafts unless it is with some of their friends. And the jump parks get too baby-ish and they really only enjoy those when with a large group of friends.

Not far removed from that age with a 17 year old, only 3 years ago was that kiddo in that age. Graduating from high school now. WOOHOO! Did that in 3 years! That's my kid

For a fun dinner idea, try Simply Fondue or the Melting Pot for fondue or Kobe Steaks or similar for hibachi. Not really Dallas-y or Texas-y, but fun for that age. Truck Yard is a unique inexpensive food option.

Good suggestions all! Totally forgot Dave and Busters! And I've been to Truck Yard once - is it family friendly?

Thanks everyone - reps to all! 👍

Okay, sorry to scare you but be prepared.

Ice skating at the Galleria
Dallas Arboretum. See who is in concert and get tickets, pack a picnic and go.
Or just visit the Arboretum one day if the weather is good. Join the Arboretum for great discounts if you plan on going.
Be a tourist in downtown Dallas. We did this last summer with our kids, college and high school. Grew up here but it was fun to see it from a different side.
Dallas Zoo
Ft Worth Zoo
Ft Worth Stockyards
Billy Bob's
HA! My sentiments exactly - I love them but I am t-e-r-r-i-f-i-e-d!!!

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

I already have shopping on the list - but their mom's pocketbook and my patience have limits, lol!

Thanks in advance!
You could hit up the $1 movies.

Or, also movie related, the Dallas Film Commission has a list of some films and locations shot in the Dallas area. You could download some of the movies and then check out the locations (RoboCop & City Hall; Logan's Run & FW Water Gardens).
