we r planning to move to texas,we are looking for good public schools for autism,location is not a problem as my husband is a travelling consultant so we can move anywhere in texas.My son is 7 years old with atec 94 but is verbal-he can request using one,two and three words.We are looking with good support like one to one,speech and OT and teachers open to good communication.

Our son is autistic but isn't in the public school system yet. He attends a private school three days per week (pre-k this past school year, kindergarten this coming school year) and has his "coaches" come over to the house two days per week. I can say that his care and the school have been absolutely outstanding.

I've heard Highland Park ISD has the best support, but to be able to afford to live there is another thing.
