Hi. Does anyone have any recommendations for a beautiful spot to have a tiny wedding ceremony in the dfw area or 1-2 hours outside of it?

Cost efficiency and no wait list are important here- under 1000 for the venue spot. It's only going to be the bride, groom, small child, and perhaps 1-4 other people in addition to the minister.

No reception. We are basically just looking for somewhere prettier and more romantic than the courthouse. However, it would also be nice to not pick somewhere that will be swarming with people or zero shade. We obviously don't need a large setup but would like a restroom in the immediate area and either somewhere we can reserve the exact wedding location or somewhere somewhat remote. The wedding will be in the next month or so. Any ideas? Thank you.

I've seen several weddings in the Gazebo at Haggard Park in downtown Plano. You could check with Plano Park & Rec I'm sure about renting that space.

Blessings for the Happy Couple.

One of the most romantic spots for intimate events is the Mandalay Canal in Las Colinas. We used to walk along there all the time and there are many points along the canal walk where people would have impromptu photo shoots, proposals, etc. However, you might want to contact The Terrace, which is a wedding venue on the canal and ask about reserving a spot for something simple in your budget. They may be able to guilde you. Its a magical place with so much character.

Looks like within your budget, but I'm sure more money than the Haggard Park Gazebo, Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. Get married in the Butterfly House or their Rose Garden.

My wedding was at the Fort Worth botanical gardens. The outside wedding was free, we just paid for a room for the reception after.

Outdoor Venues

We were in the Fuller Garden - it's hard to tell from the photos, but there's a lovely waterfall feature behind the gazebo.

The Japanese gardens are really lovely as well.

The gazebo at Goar Park in University Park is charming and inexpensive ($60/hour non-resident) Although the park does not have a large public bathroom, there is a bathroom in city hall which is at the edge of the park.
