Neat idea! I've tried the ball method before, but I didn't think to use a golf ball or drop it. It takes a decent amount of tilt to overcome the moment of inertia presented by a tennis ball that is still, so I wasn't too successful. I'll file this trick away for next time.

I brought a ball with me when I was house-hunting too. Saved me on a few houses that I otherwise would have considered.

Good to walk.
Are you using the seller's agent as your agent too?
That's not a good idea.
Have you own agent.

You'll probably find complaints for most of the foundation companies more than praise.
It's like apartments....no one leaves positive feedback for the apartment they live in, only complaints.

Ok. Do you drop it in the center of the house and room. What if the home only has tile in wet areas?
