They can but only regular or honors physics, there are also math prerequisites to take AP Physics. If someone is qualified, they can take it in zero hour period at nearest senior high.

The music side of Plano is talented and recognized as a top flight program. What evidence are you seeing that arts gets short end of stick as you said? Regards

So speaking of efficient use of resources - taking a hike to the nearest high school that could be miles away is not efficient, not to mention parent/student time involved.

Also, while I'm still not very clear on what can be taken when but going randomly to the junior high schools web sites, I see only "IPC" listed, which by the description should be offered in 5-6 grade, imo.

I think that some classes are done live via internet.

Not specifically in Plano but generally in public schools. Football program gets more support, funds and appreciation than music or theater or even academics.

Very true. My comment on the Plano Fine Arts Center was about different priorities in different districts - to each their own!

IMHO, focus on football is fine but the amount of money some districts spend to get high school stadiums with NFL level amenities maybe a bit much...

So what is your problem? Allen high also has huge campus and excellent buildings, arts theater, canteens, sports grounds, overall infrastructure to support whatever the students wants to pursue. It's college like setting and it is up to the students, parents to take advantage of the facilities, options available. Some may like, some don't. In addition, there is a new STEAM center coming up near 121 and exchange pkway to offset/balance some of the issues and to open up new courses to students.

You started this thread with Frisco ISD potential budget issues, better you stay with that topic and stop spreading negativity about Allen (I have seen few other posts), especially if you don't live here.
