I live in E. Dallas, south of White Rock Lake near Ferguson Rd. For about the last 30 min intermittently, I've been hearing what for all the world sounds like fighter jets flying around repeatedly. My first thought was that it was some kind of flyover for the State Fair, but it's a cloudy day. Anyone else hear them? Any ideas what's going on?

I love it, don't get me wrong, but other than hearing the normal corporate and commercial a/c on approach to Love, I don't usually hear those specific type of a/c sounds.

I recall a pilot friend talking about Southwest and other airlines using new jets for flights from Lovefield and military using it for some sort of practice purposes as well. He said it's going to get noisy here after 2017 so may be it started already.

I'm pretty sure that this was a practice run for a flyover before tomorrow's Air Force game at the Cotton Bowl.

Default Flyover

I'm good with football game flyover.Sounds about right.I must say I was a little concerned. Last time we had a flyover was for Osama Bin Laden death or was it Sadam capture?
