When I lived in NY I never really had any allergy issues but after my move to DFW area every year I get under the weather due to allergies. Some have been really bad that I had to take steroids shots for relief.

It depends on what triggers your son's allergies. I'm a transplant from MA. My allergies were much worse there from evergreen pollen, mold, mildew, birch trees, etc. My kids, too, generally have an easier time here in TX. I have a family member that relocated with us and has to take a daily antihistamine due to her specific allergies.

I was born and raised here, asthmatic since infancy. I didn't have problems with allergies until I moved away from DFW and returned several years ago. Now I'm miserable whenever things are growing. I have a very good relationship with Claritin, though some days I can barely breathe when I go outside. The humidity is awful, then returning to cold drafty air-conditioned spaces just makes it worse.

Maybe you should look elsewhere.
