We saw the houses of both Lenar and David weekly builders in Parkside - Irving. Both are around same price range. We liked the floor plans of Lenar more but we heard that David weekly homes are better in quality. Please share your thoughts.

The location of Parkside is just awful. Belt Line has heavy traffic, it's far from any grocery store, and the development is very close to 114 so it will have a lot of highway and airport noise. Personally, I would not buy there.

No comparison in reputation, Weekly is far ahead.

Lennar is not so good. They build a very good exterior, but they skimp on the interior. My house has held up and is now 10 years old though. Moderator cut: no ads

When I bought my home there was no comparison on down payment, loan qualification, rebates, etc than Lennar. Moderator cut: need at least 10 other posts to make specific recommendations

Personally,we too did not like the location when we visited them about a year ago.But good old home in Coppell are almost the same price(>$390K) ,plus they sell so fast. The ones that are a little cheaper (around $350K) and are on market for long need a lot of TLC.More ever,we are looking for a move-in ready home.
@truckinusa,we are looking for homes serving Coppell isd. Thanks for the offer.

Is anyone building their home through David Weekely at Parkside East ?Please share your experience.Thanks.

I used to work for Lennar. Weekly is in a different league. Go with Weekly for sure.

Parkside does not seem to be a good location to me. Schools are not close, shopping not really close. All the roads around it are pretty busy and will get busier. Add power lines, highways, trucks, warehouses....I'd give up schools for all that mess.
If you are committed I'd pick Weekley in most cases. It can depend on the builder (person) not company too as to what kind of house you get.

Guess I am not qualified to express my opinion. What a useless forum! I won't be posting again.

Or you could just read the TOS and follow the rules. But not everyone is qualified for that.

Lennar is a generic and entry level builder. I would rather buy an existing home by a solid builder then a new home by an economy builder. It's like buying an expensive brand's classic suit from last year than a latest suit from JC Penny, if you care about quality of fabric, cut and craftsmanship.
