Back on topic:
For your budget of $900-$1000 for 1 bedroom and $1000-1200 for 2 bedroom, you will be priced out of most of the desirable areas in Dallas, so it would be best to focus on Arlington, Grand Prairie, or Irving.

I rent a nice 1br apartment in Arlington for around $900, and the drive to your work area wouldn't be awful (about 20 mins). A 2br in my complex is also within your 2br budget.

I work right by Jefferson. It's a nice area, although it is right on MacArthur and Royal, which are both busy streets. Since the complex doesn't have 3 bedroom units, it will have fewer children and more adults.

Colonial Grand is nice. I've had friends live there. It does have more children since they have big units.

Via Las Colinas has the best location. It's right by the DART rail station. It's also the most expensive...

Las Colinas or Euless?-- ive narrowed the search to two!

Can I get a vote...

Las Colinas area is about 19-22 miles away from my work (which is off I20 and mountain creek parkway)
Euless area is about 18-21 miles away from work...

Pricing seems to be very similar but how is neighborhoods compared? Night life? Things to do?... more to offer in Las Colinas?...

Thanks again ALL !! Hope we can wrap this up this week !!

Cheers

Las Colinas if you can manage the budget. You can take the train to Uptown on weekends.

Thing is, on your budget, in the Bear Creek area you can live directly on the trails. But likely on your budget in LC you will not be on Lake Carolyn or have direct access to either the lake path or Campion. So you need to decide what's most important. Las Colinas is more interesting, socially more opportunities for your age group, and much closer into Dallas with the option of using the rail if you could walk home from the rail station.

Apartments along O'Connor are filled with young professionals and its an easy bike ride into the heart of the LC district. That's likely where your budget will take you in LC. Not a bad choice but not as cool as in the heart of the action. Also there's a great linear park in nearby University Hills.

Awesome!! Thanks WorldKlas for all your support and feedback!! I have leaned heavily on Las Colinas Area so well see if I'm in the "OK" area of it...

Ive found several between 116, 141, and 183 (sorry for the lingo if its incorrect-- but in between those highways/freeways)I cant post a map but if you know where I am referring to-- is that area ok for Las Colinas? Better yet.. near the Irving Convention center//Irving Mall// University of Dallas???..

Any better suggestions or complexes?

Stay AWAY from Irving Mall. That's not a good neighborhood, especially for apartments. Stay north of Northgate.
