I just finished building a average size 16x32 pool November of 2018. I live near McKinney for reference. My wife and I discussed the size and the shape of the pool way before we called any pool builders. I got 3 bids and all of them were between 60-75k depending of course on size and features. I had a couple of pool builders basically try to tell me what I should get instead of listening to our wants. I kicked one guy out of my house due to insistent you need this and that. One company kept cutting us short and demanded they know better then us on what we needed. I found a company that built me a 16x32 gunite oval pool for 53k with a pool chiller/heater. That price also included sod where they trucks ran over my grass and around the pool. I told our pool builder to take the portfolio and keep it closed since we saw so many pool designs before. I made him bring out the engineer with the engineering report and explained to him looking good is great but you better build it correctly. I have a friend just bought a nice home in McKinney new build and his neighbors finished building their pools with all the fancy features but several our having issues. The notorious clay soil comes into play in North Texas. Substance over style so be careful and good luck with the pool build.

Would you mind sharing the name of the builder you used?
