I'm going to do the stereotypical Texas thing and take pictures of my kids in the bluebonnets this year.

In the past, we've gone to the field at the JCPenney Headquarters--I'm hearing this might be under construction and no longer an option this year?

I've heard of an area in Grapevine as well, but I'm not sure exactly where it is.

Any other spots to share?

Parts of JCPenney off of Legacy has some construction. I drove by there a week or so ago and didn't see any bluebonnets yet. The area close to the pond isn't under construction and that's where most of the flowers usually are.

One of the best spots and scenic drives is in the (Dallas Hill Country) Cedar Hill area.

I-20 under Spur 408, looks like you're in the hill country and usually has lots of bluebonnets. The views here are the best for many miles.

A friend of mine took gorgeous pics of her kiddos at Mallard Park at Lake Lavon.

We went to Ennis on Saturday during their Bluebonnet Trails Festival and totally loved it. It's a great place if you like to capture some really nice family portraits. I think you can still go on this weekend to see bluebonnets and will be less crowded since the festival is over now.
