Hello everyone, we are a young LDS family. We have kids in elementary and are looking at a possible relocation to the DFW area. Where would everyone suggest us to live. We are looking at the safest area possible as well as a location where there are lots of other children for my kids to play and a good school system. Thank you

Three VERY important questions before anyone can give you advice:

1. Where is your office / job location here?

2. How long (minutes) do you want to commute each direction?

3. What is your budget to buy/rent?

The majority of the DFW area meets your general criteria of safe neighborhoods with good schools, so because the area is HUGE geographically (about 60% of the size of Connecticut), the above info helps us point you in the right direction.

Why did you mention you were LDS?

Thx for the quick response. I'll be working from home so I'm very flexible for where to live.

Do you have any budget restrictions? If not, consider the Park Cities (joint name for the towns of Highland Park & University Park). They are like suburbs in the city. #1 public school district in Texas (HPISD), super low crime, very responsive police & fire departments. Not cheap.

Ok, I'm sorry for being naive, but what does "LDS" stand for?

You are looking in the hotest price point right now. Be prepared to see it and make offer on spot. There have been bidding wars, too. If you don't have to worry about commute, I suggest the part of Sunset Pointe subdivision in Little Elm that feeds to Frisco ISD. Educate yourself about ISDs. I lived in SLC for 11 yrs, not LDS, but know the expectations of culture. This area, along with many others, fits.

Quite a lot of my LDS clients have moved to Flower Mound and Southlake but it depends on your price range. Just about any good city discussed on CD will work. Plenty of LDS Churches around.

Just saw your $300k. Tough price point in todays world.

Look in Keller, Little Elm, Prosper, McKinney. Possibly Flower Mound.
