There's a city's population...and then there are school demographics. Older people in Frisco obviously aren't going to have kids in school, and the Indian immigrants in Frisco are (by and large) in their 30s and 40s: prime time age for having kids in school. So it doesn't surprise me at all that Indian kids are "overrepresented" in the Frisco ISD as a percentage of the population.

FISD demographics https://schools.texastribune.org/districts/frisco-isd/. The percentage of Asian students varies greatly depending on the individual schools. Overall, FISD is 20.9% Asian.

Like I said upthread, the schools I'm zoned for have less than 10% Asian students. It really depends on where you settle in Frisco.

Hi Logiclife, my family and I are originally from Chicago (St. Charles) as well. We moved here because of jobs and currently live in the Grapevine area. If you're going to be working in the Irving area, Grapevine is a very close commute as well. In my opinion hwy 114 is better than hwy 121. I used to make the commute to Irving everyday until recently changing careers from the corporate world. Grapevine/Colleyville schools are great also and that's why we moved to Grapevine. The housing market is CRAZY in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and no matter where you go Coppell, Grapevine, Frisco, and so on multiple offers are received on most homes (I'm Realtor and I see it everyday). There's more buyers than sellers here right now. We put in offers on three homes before we got our home (wasn't a Realtor at the time), so it's definitely emotional. I've added a link for school ratings which we used when doing research before moving to Texas. Good luck to you and hope you have a happy stress free move.

As someone who grew up from birth to High School Graduation in Coppell and now live in Irving as a young adult...I can say Coppell is an amazing place especially for kids. The schools were phenomenal and prepped me properly for college. The culture in Coppell is family oriented and the schools, parks, libraries, ect. are all top notch. Location-wise you cannot be more centrally located in the Metroplex. You are close to both airports and about 20-30 minutes away from a lot of the it spots in Dallas.
