Google NTTA and go to their website to see what your tolls would be.

Nope; I've only been to Prosper once in my life and that was on a weekend.

Check Google maps at the times you plan to commute. Do this for several days to give yourself a realistic idea of commute times. Alternately you can estimate 2-3 minutes per mile at rush hour. I've found afternoon rush hour is slower than morning rush hour, others' experience may vary.

My manager lives in Prosper, and she says it takes 1.5 hours to get from Las Colinas home during rush hour.

Prosper to DFW isnt too bad, it is kind of a reverse commute. But there is a bad bottleneck on 121 getting into grapevine. Leave real early it can be done in 30 minutes, leave later about an hour.

I think I was spending about 200 a month in tolls when I was going that direction.

OP - There is plently of tree-less properties (like in Prosper) much closer to DFW - do you just like to drive?
What's drawing you to prosper?

What I like about Prosper is that the homes have the garage in the front, no allies to deal with. Also the same home in Prosper is cheaper vs like Frisco. Also a lot less people to deal with in town, Frisco can get very crowded with traffic while Prosper has no one on the roads. In 10 years though I bet those days will be over.

It won't take 10 years. The one time we went to Prosper, traffic was quite heavy on 380.
