Hello. We are moving to DWF area next summer. We have three kids almost high school, middle and elementary school age. Money is not an issue, don't care where to live, husband travels for job.
The tricky question is:
1. Should i look private schools for kids? What area then? Dallas?
2. I read how great school districts in Plano and Fresno. Should we better look for house at this area and give kids to public school?
So private or public?

Thank you.

You need to give way more detail about yourself or what things are important to you if you want meaningful feedback. As is, you're going to get people that say to do public and live in Plano, Southlake, or Park Cities. This will be based on knowing absolutely nothing about you.
I will say, if money is no issue and your husband travels, I'd personally cross Frisco off the list.

The best private schools in DFW are in Dallas. The highest rated public school district is basically in bubble surrounded by Dallas in an area called Highland Park. Homes in Highland Park are generally $1million to a lot more. If money is no object, then you should research there and see if you like the culture. The best privates are also relatively conveniently located to Highland Park. Most you have to apply to get into, as in your kids have to very bright.

The school districts that are routinely recognized as the "best" are Highland Park, Carroll, are Plano. There are many other very good and good districts. The elite private schools are mostly in North/Northwest Dallas, between Royal Lane(to the south) and LBJ (to the north), Midway (west) and Preston (east). Greenhill School is a top school that is a bit further north.

If you have any specific parameters (budget, geography, desired housing and neighborhood characteristics) you will probably get more detailed suggestions.

Getting all three kids admitted into most recommended private high schools would be difficult and expensive, roughly $40-50k/year. If you want to save money for colleges then make sure you can afford both.

Among good districts, your housing budget and commute would dictate wether Highland Park, Carroll or Plano ISD would suit you better. All of these are great districts so you can't go wrong.

Three kids would be ~$60,000/$65,000yr. plus incidentals at the Catholics and ~$90,000yr, maybe a tad less, plus incidentals at say Hockaday or Saint Marks.
