Yep, there has been a lot of progress and there are even more highrises on the way. The Flora Lofts project started in 2018. Uptown and Downtown is pretty much seamless now.

Edit: Most people from out of town can’t tell the difference...

Yep. I just went through the area, it’s getting pretty dense around the Klyde Warren Park area (I should have stopped to take pics ). Hopefully, other areas of downtown will soon follow.

Wow, I don't understand all the hate on this thread.

I think for starters that this thread SHOULD be exactly where it is - in the Texas forum, not the Dallas forum specifically. I agree that it has appeal and interest for those who don't live in Dallas specifically.

My husband and I visit Dallas, Austin, Houston, etc. and we don't live in any of them, so it's good to watch videos and read discussions about growth and change in certain areas of these big, interesting Texas cities.

Good thread and lots of good videos in it.

No problem - the only people with a problem probably have a problem with Dallas in general, which I think it sort of sad anyway. Say what you want about Dallas but one thing is for sure - it has something for EVERYONE!

And here's the deal - from someone who's lived in Texas for 25 years, but prior to that lived literally all over the world:

I don't want to LIVE in ANY big metro area - not in Dallas, not in Houston, not in NYC or Atlanta or Chicago or even Portland, OR. Heck, not even in New Orleans and I love me some New Orleans. But I enjoy VISITING various big metro areas and I really have enjoyed watching the videos on this thread - and others regarding other areas too.
