Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable and affordable Christmas lights company in Dallas?

Not having much time to do lights this year, I reached out to someone I saw recommended on Nextdoor. He misunderstood me and thought I only wanted to have the one big tree in my front yard lit - he quoted $1,000!!! When we cleared up the confusion, he said it would be a lot less for simple lights on my (one story, not huge) house. But he never gave me a quote. We ended up doing them ourselves but only on the perimeter of the roof. I'm not risking my husband hurting himself if it's not necessary.

But that $1000 quote for only one tree makes me wonder how much businesses that have every tree wrapped densely must spend on lights.

It's just another means of business for them during the last couple months. I was told customers typically spend 2-3k on Christmas lights by the earlier mentioned company.
I don't have that kinda money.

I have that kind of money and think it's asinine to spend on lights.

Keep looking. You should be able to find in the $200-$300 range for a simple set up, another $50 for take down. More if you need to purchase the lights. Do you have a neighborhood FB page? I get most of my referrals from there, including my lights guy.

We have a fairly large home and got ours done for $300 last year and $350 this yr incl. removal and all windows and garages. Keep looking or ask around on Nextdoor. I wouldn't pay more than $450 for a large, 2 story.
