I got my monthly electric bill, a smooth $2900 for the past 30 days. That is impossible although I have a large house in dead of summer highest bill Ive experienced was $750.

I called the provider and they opened a case to look into it and agreed it made no sense from my history.

About a month ago an Oncor guy knocked on my door saying my meter was not sending measurements so they were going to replace it. Also in past 45 days or so had a 6 and a half day roofing job done. Lots of power tools running all night in some cases..

Anyone else run into this ever? If so what was determined to be the issue?

Even the 750 is crazy. My top ever was 375 in a 4700 ft home at the height of the 2011 heat wave, with a pregnant crazy wife and the temp set to Arctic all day. Check the Austin forum. There was an issue when they converted to smart meters - might be something that can help you there?

Well, you should have a meter reading on some bill in the past, go and read what the meter says now and do the math.

Check the readings on the bill, check the meter, check it during regular intervals and take pictures.
750 I understand.
A while back we had a similar issue - meter reader picked up an additional digit. It took two cycles to get things squared away.
I suggest written communication not just a phone call.
When a meter is full it resets to zero. Is it possible you got charged for a full (99999) old meter?

Even $750 is crazy. What year is your house?

1999 build, lots of high ceilings and over 5000 sf in size with walls of windows in three rooms over looking pool. Cirro opened an investigation on this which I should hear results from by Wednesday
