We are moving to Dallas, Texas from Sacramento, CA and my husband suffers from migraine headaches often in Sacramento especially when the weather changes. It appears that the Dallas weather changes alot in one week. Are there alot of people in Dallas who suffer with migraines due to the weather there?

I have a ton of friends, a few of them get migranes, but only one of them gets weather related migranes - she always knows when the weather is changing and it takes her out for a day.

I get headaches primarily when the weather goes from dry air to humid air on the drop of a dime. It seems like more as I get older. As for most other weather situations, I seem to be headache free. I've lived in the Dallas area for my entire life.

It can be allergy related which is also related to the weather. I don't get migraines, though, just regular headaches whenever my allergies kick in and the weather changes.

Almost everybody in my office complains of allergies and clogged sinus-caused headaches. I never had allergies until I moved here, I think it's because it's so windy every bit of pollen just sweeps through and right up my nose!

A neti pot helps a lot.

YES!!! I get headaches all the time. Sinus headaches though. And it is b/c of the weather. I have allergies and asthma. And I didn't develop them until I moved to Dallas 20 years ago.

I'm actually sitting here reading this thread right now with sinus pain and headache that I've had for about a week now. Seems like my allergies only get worse as I get older. Weather does change quite frequently. I just got to work after trudging through a torrential rain storm. FYI I'm not being sarcastic right now. Your husband may have migraine problems if y'all move here.

Both my brother and I get migraines from changes in atmospheric pressure. Mine is when the pressure drops suddenly (just before a storm) and his is when it rises (just after the storm).

I've had really good luck with Zomig and drinking lots of water.

There is a lot of new knowledge about migraines, so you might do some online research or talk to your doctor. You might also consider keeping a headache diary, noting things like foods, weather conditions, and stress.
