We are planning to host a baby shower in few months and need to reserve a venue to host the party of around 50 to 70 people and trying to find it at a reasonable cost.

Need recommendations that matches following criteria:

1. Preferably located in Frisco / Plano / McKinney / Allen area.
2. Venue should be able to provide Indian food. If not, then they must allow me to cater from outside to serve Indian food.
3. Party room should be decorated or they should allow customers (to use room couple of hours early) to decorate the room.

Check w some of the smaller hotels around the Stonebriar area. My wife's baby shower was hosted at one of the hotels there and it worked out perfectly in terms of budget and their allowing for outside catering.

That said, your absolute cheapest option would be to host it at a restaurant itself. Though, none of the Indian places up here are all that great in terms of ambiance.

Thanks! I think challenge is that most of country clubs don't allow catered food from outside. If you know one that does allow, please let me know.

If outdoors is OK, I highly recommend Frisco Commons Park. It is very beautiful and works for all age kids.

Seriously, call up the Indian restaurants. A lot have separate rooms and will give them to you at cost - you can decorate how you want, and then they'll just charge you the # of guests you have * weekend buffet price.

Doing things like this is a great way to pack an entire restaurant. Some of the smaller ones may even close the restaurant down for you (or do the event from 2-6, which would normally be a "down" time period)

If you do it at an Indian restaurant, you can keep the cost to roughly $500-$600 for 50 people. If you want a separate event space (country club, hotel, etc.), it's going to be at least $2-3k (and that's for a small conference room).

FunAsia will give you the room for $1500 (that's from a few years ago, no idea if it's gone up) - but then you have to buy food on top of that. There's a reason it's mainly used for wedding and big birthdays.

If you want to look at an outside space that will let you cater in food, you can check with Marriott/Embassy Suites/Crowne Plaza - these hotels all let you cater outside food (but they charge you like $20/head just to get the space).

Certain Country Clubs will let you cater outside food, but you have to get some food through them (they make sure they get there fee!).

So seriously, Indian restaurant!
