What’s up with Adriatica mckinney? Is this a good value with good resale?

Mmm... I would say it's too early to tell. If you would have bought 4-5 years ago like everything else around here, you'd be ahead. But now, prices have risen very fast as more and more shops and restaurants open in the area. So, you're paying a premium that I personally feel is unwarranted, as you can buy a home in several neighborhoods surrounding Adriatica and get more bang for your buck. But, for people who want to have a walkable lifestyle to some restaurants and shops, then they may still find it worth it. But I personally don't see it as having good value right now.

IMO it's not terribly walkable, the stores can be pretty spread out.

I don't even think they have sidewalks throughout the faux european neighborhood, but I could be wrong, I haven't been there in a while. I don't remember there being many behind the starbucks when I lived in the apartments across the street.

It’s been around since early 2005 or even earlier and has some beautiful patio homes but mostly building apartments and condos. I’ve heard they buried a bible there and have a chapel and religious relics so wondering if it’s a religious community? May be that’s why going slow or is it too pricy for the location?

It's technically been around since 2005 but the development stalled majorly during the recession. I'm not sure what year it got going again.

I don't think it's a religious community though I've heard the chapel is a lovely wedding venue. I think it's just a little too "unique" for the cookie cutter suburbs. I would never ever buy there.

Unfortunately multistory apartments and multistory parking building killed the historic village vibe they were going for. Not enough greenery or trees either. It was a lovely vision but commercial realities ruined it.

No one can guarantee you resale anywhere.
Economies change.
Tastes change.
Styles change.

Looks neat. Never lived there but have visited several offices there. If you like the area, don't work too far away, should be as good as any.

The world is going through a shift right now. Much like the industrial revolution. Most people don't see it feel it yet. Amazon and online shopping and logistics could change everything. Driverless cars will change everything. VR could also change everything.

I rent there. I thought of buying. Very over priced. I think it would have been a great value 3 to 4 years ago, but not now. With that said. I love the area.

Sorry to burst your bubble there, but the majority of homes surrounding Adriatica are anything but cookie cutter. Nearly all the homes surrounding Adriatica are custom built, like the homes around Wellington Point, the King's Lake gated subdivision, and the homes by Stonebridge CC.
