Hello people,

I will be relocating with my wife to DFW from NY, I will be working in Dallas and she will work in Fort Worth.

What are the good neigbourhoods in between? by good we mean safe, good schools, near parks & some fun ares for weekends.

We are looking for $900 1bd range and eventualy $350k to buy.

Thanks in advance for your help and time

Ft Worth is big and Dallas is big. You don't have to give details, but if you could give a general area in each we can better assist you.

Perhaps this will give you a feel for how spread out the DFW area is. DFW airport is between those two cities. Just the airport is larger than Central Park.

Or this. The DFW metroplex is about 2/3 the size of the state of Connecticut.

I'm just going to say what we're all thinking... If you try and split the distance, both of you are probably going to have a long commute.

I think more realistically, the primary breadwinner should keep their job and look to find a place close to their place of employment rather than have both of you be miserable in your commutes.

I think if the job is in North Fort Worth that Euless in 76039 is very doable.

It's hard to say without knowing where in Dallas and where in Ft Worth the jobs will be.

However, the Texas commuter rail is scheduled to be opened in the fall of 2018.
There will be two stations in Noeth Richland Hills. The trains will run near to DFW airport and to downtown Fort Worth.

There is an interesting intersection of cities along Precint Line Road/Davis/Tarrant Pkway...NRH, Keller, Hurst all
come together there and there are some lovely neighborhoods.

Indeed it is!!!! Used to drive from MA to the CT shore in less time than the DFW metroplex.
