Not at all. According to google maps this is technically within city limits.

https://www.google.com/maps/@36.2023...!7i4000!8i2000

This is about 25 min from Downtown Vegas or 5 min from city limits.

Plus about 50 min from downtown vegas you have this (roughly how long it would take me to get to McKinney, from Irving, right now, if I took tolls:

Maybe the poster was being sarcastic? Or just isn't into lifeless deserts?

OK I lived out there for a good while. Vegas itself is hostile, hot and ugly. Some of the country out of town can be gorgeous in a very rough high desert kind of way. Lee Canyon gets so little snow it's dangerous to ski, rocks, dirt, stumps, ice, slush etc. or mostly closed in all but the best winters - I'm a big time skier and would have loved to ski there regularly - nada. A decent hill in Colorado will get more snow on a good night or two than Lee Canyon got all of last winter.

And is entirely shaded by trees up to about 40 feet.

I do have stone...we use it to outline the lawns.

Be careful of stereotypes...particularly if you live in Dallas.

Sweet a 50'x60' swath of grass - like a grass moat, or do you mean artificial turf?, is mightily impressive.

Actually in the front there is about 1000 SF. In the back are two lawns of about 20x50. I might be a little light so it may actually be a little bigger than I said. But not by huge amounts.

Sweet baby Jesus it’s still hot outside! I haven’t been outside since I came back from work around 3 pm. I’ve been chilling inside under the A/C since then. I just stepped outside and the heat hit me like a ton of bricks.

Maybe you should spend more time outside with physical activities from cutting gras to playing ball - your body will adjust. Otherwise - see you in October.
