We have been looking at apartments via the internet for a couple of weeks and it is overwhelming.

We are empty nesters relocating (for work) to Plano/Frisco and we will be renting an apartment for the 1st year. We are looking for something near the Legacy/Stonebriar/Willow Bend shopping areas.

There are so many apartments to choose from, we were hoping that someone could recommend a place they liked. We only "need" one bedroom but a second bedroom or a study would be nice when our adult children or other guests visit.

Unfortunately we do not have time to visit before the move so we would like to narrow down the search to a few apartments to make the process a bit easier. Thank you for any advice you may have.

You might consider a private condo or townhome, vs apartment life. If you are empty nesters the apartment life, even in this great area might just drive you crazy.

Can you be a bit more specific? There is a large garden apartment community a bit down the road from there - approximately on SpringCreek/Tennyson and Preston - all apartments, very quiet, mostly families and some kids, attached garages, but no walkable amenities. Look up Watersedge, The Domaine, or Creekside at Legacy.

Then there are the apartments located in Legacy village -closer to Legacy and Parkwood/the Dallas North Tollway, and they are more 'urban' in that they are walkable to shops, a movie theatre, and some great restaurants, and feature a parking garage instead of attached garages, etc. Look up Legacy Village Apartments as an example. These will have more young people (20-30) than the garden apartments.

A co-worker relocated from NYC and stays at The Livingston apartments near Willow Bend and has nothing but good to say. Her place is a townhome and is huge. It seemed quiet and is gated. They may be worth checking out.

Disagree. in 2014-2015 We lived at Cool Springs in Frisco, walkable to Target and many other stores, plus restaurants and if we wanted to walk, 24 Hr Fitness, though it was cold and windy for a lot of the time we were there and we didn't want to be out in that for too long. Both of us were in our late 50s and we enjoyed our time there.
