No one is going to want to do that. It's so much easier to do research on schools now than it was in the pre-Internet era, so parents have no excuse for that. If a white, middle-class or higher child is in a school that is majority African-American or Hispanic, there's a good chance that child is going to be bullied and/or beaten up frequently. That could have lifelong psychological impact. It may impede their social skills for decades.

What? People move to high crime areas in cities all the time, and with lousy schools.

The major problem in Dallas is not schools - it's jobs, in that downtown Dallas is barely the largest job center, and Richardson, Plano, Los Colinas, and other areas have just as many jobs and each place will have 30 minute circle around them for people to commute into. So people are totally making a rational choice to move to Celina, or Lewisville, Frisco or whereever to the north, because the stats show that those who commute have shorter than average commute times to work in these cities. The jobs are coming to the people, so people in this thread asking for more distributed job centers have totally gotten their wish, compared to other major metro areas.

Dallas itself is not helping either, with the new Cypress Waters (I think its called) business district that they created that is more proximal to northern suburbs than to the city of Dallas itself.

Pretty much this. There are very significant job centers in the City of Dallas, but most of them are either in the central core (downtown, Uptown, Medical District, etc.) or on the northern fringes of the city (635/75, 635/DNT, etc.). There are a relatively smaller number of professional job centers in the southern half of the city and that extends to the southern suburban areas as well.

Where is there any evidence of this? That's like me saying that more affluent schools are at a greater risk of mass shooters.

Besides everywhere? Of course, he left out the problems that girls may face. You know, pregnancy at the age of 13 or 14 with a child no one but the taxpayers will ever help her take care of.

Yes, it is a lot like that in that both statements would be true.
