You have much bigger issues to worry about in Richardson than that.

From what I gather, people are aware of this and don't really seem to mind as long as it's not out in the open.
Yes and no.

Yes, it is legal for a business to only cater to the customer's they want to cater. The Supreme Court ruled that bakers can refuse to bake for people with certain bedroom preferences, county clerks refusing to file marriage certificates for the same reason, pharmacist refusing to fill certain legal prescriptions, etc.

The no part is because gambling, unless state sponsored and taxed, is illegal in Texas.

I don't get the part about using "escorts" as dealers? If they are dealing cards, then they can't be "escorts", thus not doing any wrong (minus the dealing for money part). Cities, churches, nonprofits have "casino nights" for charity all the time. It's not illegal to deal cards there, thus...

Chances are the police not only know, they probably participate and/or paid to allow it to happen. Don't believe me? Jerry Jones bought off the Irving police department when Michael Irvin stabbed a teammate in the neck with scissors over who was in line next to get a hair cut.

Instead of Irvin going to jail for attempted murder, Jones paid off the guy that was stabbed, paid off the police to drop the investigation and threatened to block the Dallas Morning News from any future cowboys coverage if they kept reporting the issue. (feel free to search the internet for "michael irvin stabs teammate)

Personally, I don't see a difference in the state ran lottery, nonprofit gambling, church bingo, etc and an official, above board, legal, tax paying casino.

The only reason it's illegal is because the people in charge are paid to keep it that way and they use religion as an excuse.

Bottom line, if you don't like it...it would be easier for you to move. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, it's the way it is

If you or the taco shop guys are right, there is zero percent chance the police don’t know about this. Save yourself the time and the headache.

If you actually read the thing you would realize the Supreme Court ruling was alot more complicated than that.

1) It was largely predicated on Gay Marrage not being legally recognized in Colorado at the time of the incident, and

2) it wasn't about refusing basic services to someone based on sexual preference. They never said they wouldn't bake or sell cakes to gay folks, they just wouldn't make a specialized cake for the wedding. It would be like an artist who is willing to sell you a picture they painted, but who is unwilling to paint you a specific commissioned work because it went against their religion.

So no, the supreme court did not rule that you can just refuse service to someone for being gay.

Check the Address against registered businesses. It may not be a business, just a rental unit being used for, well, private parties. Or the kid at the Taco place is full of ....stuff. Try staking it out and take vids of the customers going in and out if you're concerned.

Also, if nobody files a complaint, the police usually won't look into it.
