SAWB is really evolving beautifully. This is another awesome place for Planoites in addition to Legacy and Legacy West. If you are thinking of buying in this area, 75093 is the place to be.

Starved for unique dining places?
The only places we eat at are little mom and pops.

This is great, but...more traffic.

I enjoy small local joints of Plano but equally open to snobby posh options. We have a good spectrum here and it’s expanding. As traffic is increasing all over DFW, there is no way to avoid that. At least, we don’t have to drive far for, literally anything. All these fancy places are improving area vibe and quality of life, as well as securing property values.

It’s a much better alternative to areas where everything is deteriorating or cheap stores are moving in or areas where you have to drive far for everything. That defeats buyer’s purpose of living in exurbs as they have to go to other places all the time. We have all the privacy and peace we need here on our leafy cul de sacs so best of both worlds.

Can't argue with that.

If change has to come, let it be good change.

I hope it works.. WB needs to compete to keep customers coming back given the proximity of the Legacy offers
.

"Starved for unique dining places."- Opens zero unique dining places. A+ job. Don't see myself heading over to this.

I think there's a good case to be made that there's too much retail in North Dallas (north of 635) and the Collin County suburbs. Shops at Willow Bend, Stonebriar Centre, Shops at Legacy, Galleria Dallas, and countless strip malls.

That’s why it’s a smart move by WB to add cafes, hotel, Crayola Experience, Equinox, Children’s theater, Paint My Pottery etc with shopping/dinning to make it a multi interest place, instead of a boring mall.

I can totally see us dropping our grand kids for rehearsal or art lesson and heading to gym or a cafe, browsing books or hitting stores for sales. It doesn’t matter it’s raining, snowing or boiling outside, whole family can have good time under one roof, doing their own things and grabbing dinner afterwards. They should add a small grocery store as well.

Good one. I have several local joints in Plano, for take out , and other than that we usually head down to Dallas for eating out. Besides it is easier to park around Travis walk, or West village, than legacy west, lol.

Anyway, I always considered Willow bend, the only mall to go to, if I really really must (compared to the other three). The new stuff might leave me with no such choice.

I work across the street and only go there to exchange international currency at that little kiosk in the mall. But it looks nice from the tollway. If I had a kid I would take them to the crayola experience. I asked the waitress at Henrys tavern at the original shops of legacy a few weeks ago had business turned notably slower since legacy west and she said absolutely. There is so much to choose from so Willow Bend had to keep pace.
