I love the pictures. I'm new to Texas. How do I get there from Rockwall?

I haven't come in from the East in a while, but I think the best route for you would be:

Take I-30 West towards DT Dallas.
Exit at Buckner Blvd (Loop 12) - Go North.
Take a left at John W Rd - This will curve around and become Lakeland.
Lakeland will take you directly to the valet parking entrance at Garland Rd (highly recommended for an extra $10), if you want general parking, turn left on Garland Rd and the entrance is a block down.
If you get there later in the day, you might have to keep going on Garland Rd to park in shuttle parking.

Here is a Google Map link - dallas arboretum - Google Maps

And here is the Arboretum website - Dallas Arboretum Home Page

Also, be sure and save some time to make a loop around White Rock Lake afterwards - lots to see there as well.

Great photos.

Don't you just LOVE that place. It is so peaceful. Even when I'm there on a school field trip chaperoning a group of elem. kids it is still such a PEACEFUL place to be.

Now, we need a pic of all of the kids rolling down the hill

Today was the first day for Dallas Blooms - not an ideal day weather-wise (cloudy and windy), but as always, the flowers are beautiful. And the weather kept the crowds down as an added bonus
