We've skipped right over fall, apparently. 45 degrees, rainy and gloomy and it feels like January. Raise your hand if you went straight from a/c to heat.

Next week it might be fall again.

We never have fall. Probably will be in the 90's next week, then down to 35

LOL I had a solid 2 weeks where I had no heat or AC and just opened and closed windows. At the beginning, the house would be a little warm when I got home and at the end, the house would be cold in the morning. So maybe 1 actual week where it was truly "Sleep with the windows open" weather.

That's Texas for ya.

I know! We went out of town for a week. It was summer when we left and winter when we got back. Seriously missing our favorite time of year

This is how fall is in colder parts of the world. Maybe not what you're used to in Texas. I actually had a nice long nature walk this morning and really enjoyed it.

Was going to mention the same. 40’s and 50’s is perfect fall weather (maybe without the rain though).

It’s below zero right now in my hometown so 47 here feels just fine.

It's basically fall as I've always experienced it here in N. Texas, for as long as I can recall, meaning my grade school days (late 70s/early 80's). Maybe took a couple of weeks longer to get here than it typically does. September is always the 'cooling down' month, although it was hotter the last couple of weeks of September than I recall that month usually being. Unless my memory is tricking me, it usually doesn't start to get chilly until we close in on Halloween.

I can't ever recall a linear transition fro summer to fall here. It usually goes back and forth between warm (70's to 80's fahrenheit) then the cool days start to creep in. This week's weather did seem sudden, but weather here is anything but predictable. I expect it will be warm again next week.

Sure, but those "cooler parts of the world" also have more temperate summers.

Hand up went from a/c right to heat! Wasn’t expecting that!

We moved here just in time for the hottest September on record and now looks like tonight will bring the regions earliest frost on record...
