I’ve been on a bit of hiatus with C-D the past couple of weeks. Both my husband and I are at home, and the kids are doing distance learning also. We’ve been keeping our distance but have been getting groceries every few days and have been ordering carry out to support our local restaurants.

Besides its from China. Sorry but I'm not buying anything they say. Their credibility is not reassuring in my eyes. Does anyone else really believe that they have somehow eliminated the virus in the space of a couple of weeks? From over 80,000 reported cases Dec - March, to now NOT ONE NEW CASE?

After being asleep for the last 3 weeks, Collin County has finally issued the shelter in place directive today.

Tarrant County also has implemented mandatory "shelter in place", until April 7.

While shelter in place is important, we must also limit/monitor international and domestic travel into Texas/Dallas, especially from hotspot areas. I still hear from folks returning from travelling abroad where it took minutes to go through customs without any type of health screening.

Who in their right mind thinks it's a great time to travel in the midst of a global pandemic???

i think it is less leisure travel and more people who are trying to make it back home / back to family from abroad. (or also cases of people leaving places like NYC domestically to 'get away' from a hotspot). Agreed it's not the best idea, but that doesn't mean that fear of the situation doesn't make people want to do it anyway.

My brother works in consulting for a healthcare software firm. Their clients are hospitals all around the country. He has been told that he MUST be onsite for the hospital clients, so on a plane he goes. Even now. The only saving grace is that his current client is in rural Tennessee, far away from any active corona sites but its still a big risk.

Well, they are ending the quarantine soon so most likely the draconian measures worked.

Korea also almost has it under control. However they've done it via very well organized expansive testing program.

Well the millennials have no intention to stop partying. I feel Trump is trying to create a false impression just to keep panic down in the US. It will get allot worse before it gets better. US will be one of the most impacted country by this pandemic with allot more deaths. If weather has a role to play than some states will be better than others.

I was at the Kroger nearby. I went in with gloves, mask and eye wear looking crazy but only if everyone else felt the same as me. People inside were shopping like everything was normal. As for the supermarket inventory, organic milk had run out, no bread either, limited option on ice cream. There was tons of regular milk though.
