Our brilliant leaders didn't explicitly include pet boarding facilities in the list of exempted businesses.

I guess they could fall into "Healthcare operations also includes veterinary care and all health and welfare services provided to animals."?

If your family is sheltering in place why would you need pet boarding?

They were included in the exceptions along with pet supply stores.

I almost had to get my mom's cat boarded. She's in a rehab facility until Thursday and the woman taking care of her cat almost had to go to the hospital because she fell. I am horribly allergic to cats and my allergy shot clinic is closed. The only option I could find on short notice for temporary cat care was boarding him. Luckily she wasn't injured and could stay home.

This is a public forum. You asked a question and did not get he answer you expected. But your use of the English language is rather let's say - ... .

It wasn't even an answer and doesn't help me at all. Just unnecessary judgment based on false assumptions. I am not going into the specifics of my case, but what about those of us who live alone with pets but need in-patient treatment overnight? Or are on-call for an essential service and usually use boarding services.

Try Rover.com. These are individuals who board in their own homes. I’ve had good luck with using Camp Bedford. https://www.campbedfordpetresort.com/

It was a clarifying question: increasing the odds that answers/suggestions might end up being more useful. You didn't say anything about what pet care services you've used before, why you couldn't make a special arrangement with them now or why someone couldn't care for your pet at your house. Can't help you solve the nasty attitude. You know the advice about not biting the hand that feeds you? Hopefully the pet you need to board gets it.
