We are possibly moving to Dallas forth worth area... the houses seem pricey on Zillow for such older homes.
What other nice areas are there to raise kids? Looking for great public schools as well. Tree lined streets and greenery. Is that possible to find?
Also i am African American and I have been reading that there racism heavily in that area. I’d prefer a nice diverse area with good home prices and good schools.
I looked at Plano Carrollton forth worth.. Coppell is expensive so is las colinas.
Would like some guidance.

30 min commute is tolerable. 200-300 for homes.

Where is your work location? that budget is on the lower side for any desirable area in DFW and you may need to compromise on some of your criteria based on what is more important to you.

Plano to Fort Worth is roughly 47 miles and could take an hour and a half to drive.

Where is your job?

There is plenty of diversity here if that is what you are looking for. Many schools are minority white. There are over 7 million combined residents representing all cultures here. There are racist people everywhere and there are non-racist people everywhere.

There are tree lined streets in many areas around DFW.

Without knowing your job location, I would suggest Garland (specifically Firewheel area). Garland is very diverse and you can get decent housing between $200-300K.

You could also check into Irving. It's one of the few areas in DFW metro that is equally diverse between races.

No clue where you work but...

Cedar Hill, Desoto, Arlington, South Fort Worth, and Mesquite all have nice homes in your price range and large population of middle class African Americans. Basically anything south of I-20 has what you’re looking for.
